Four second half goals from Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan condemned Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia to their second consecutive defeat in the ongoing 2023/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League.
The first half had ended 0-0 as the visitors defence quartet of Augustine Njoku, Prince Okorie, Collins Nwoburuoke and Jerry Ogu kept the home side at bay despite under incessant attack.
The second half started very much as the first with Shooting Stars mounting severe pressure on the Warriors.
Eventually, Abia Warriors capitulated in the last 20 minutes as goals from Alex Aghahowa Otakho, Malomo Taofeek Ayodeji, Dumte Christian Pyagbara and Adam Mustapha Agba’a in 71st,, 81st, 84th and 96th minutes respectively ensured a resounding victory for the Ibadan warlords.
