The Chairman of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia, Coach John Obuh, has extended his warm congratulations to His Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti on his affirmation by the Supreme Court of Nigeria as the duly elected Governor of Abia State.
The apex court in dismissing the petitions brought before it by the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress had declared Governor Otti the winner of the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial election.
According to the former Nigeria national U-17 and U-20 coach, the Supreme Court simply upheld the people’s mandate.
“I want to say a big congratulations to His Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti and to every Abian on the victory of our dear Governor at the Supreme Court.
“His victory at the apex court is a reaffirmation of the people’s mandate and prayer answered for every Abian.
“The joy being experienced over this ruling is a testament to His Excellency’s acceptance by the citizens of Abia State.
“I once again congratulate Governor Alex Otti, and wish him the very best as he continues to pilot the affairs of the State especially the sports sector towards an unprecedented development.”
