The Chairman of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia, Coach John Obuh has expressed his profound gratitude to the Minister-In-Charge of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Lugbe Parish, Abuja, Rt. Rev. Innocent Agwu Okoro for supporting the club with prayers during the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League and the 2024 President Federation Cup campaigns.
The Club supremo who was at the Minister’s office in Lugbe, Abuja, was full of gratitude for the clergy’s spiritual support.
Abia Warriors Football Club despite finishing 12th in the league log last season, went ahead to reach the finals of the 2024 President Federation Cup for the first time in the club’s history, a feat Coach Obuh attributed to God’s guidance.
Rt. Rev. Okoro who was elated to receive the Pride of Abia’s Chairman thanked him for placing God first in all he does, and assured him of his continuous support.
The Minister was later presented with a replica jersey of Abia Warriors by Coach John Sam Obuh.
