Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia will lock horns with Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League fixture tomorrow at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
The visitors won the first leg 2-1 in their backyard and the Pride of Abia say they are determined to have their pound of flesh in Umuahia tomorrow
Abia Warriors assistant coach, Igwe Madubuike, is optimistic the Umuahia lads will emerge victorious at the end of the encounter.
.”..we should expect the same result (home win) from the lads. I know we have prepared them, and we have told them what to do, and we expect it to yield positive result.”
His optimism was echoed by the team captain, Augustine Njoku, while speaking with the club’s media.
“…we will give the fans nothing short of victory come Wednesday…”, the former national U-20 wing back said.
The match comes up on Wednesday, 15th May 2024, at the Umuahia Township Stadium. Kickoff time is 4pm.
