Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia have sympathized with the board, management, and staff of Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure on the unfortunate armed robbery attack on the club’s contingent along Ore-Benin Express Road on their way to honor a league game in Benin City.
In a press statement issued in Umuahia and signed by the club’s media officer, Solomon Igwe, the Abia Warriors expressed shock that the kit manager and some other team members of the club were injured during the attack.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Sunshine Stars Football Club family, and we wish the injured a speedy recovery,” the statement said.
