Abia Warriors skipper and goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke, has reacted to his side’s hugely anticipated NPFL matchday 22 big clash against Rivers United on Sunday, May 23rd afternoon.

Olorunleke while speaking with Lodgexpress during a pre-game conference, said;

‘We are not under any form of pressure despite the fact that they (Rivers United) got a slight 1-nil victory away from home in their last game. The result puts absolutely no pressure on us going into this fixture as every game is different from the other and in this very game, they should be under pressure facing us.

Quizzed about Rivers United’s main threat, Godwin Aguda and how his side hopes to keep him silent, Olorunleke said;

‘We have the quality in our team and a solid defence backline that are tough, fit and ready to match shoulder-to-shoulder with whatever he throws at them’.

On injury concerns in his side marching into this fixture, the goaltender said;

‘Everyone at the club is fit and available for selection. There’re no injury concerns. We’ve really put in hardwork, commitment and unperturbed attention and focus to ensure we get the victory and I must say that the morale of everyone in the team is really high and we’ll see how it all goes down on Sunday; we must definitely get the job done.

‘They had the victory in our first meeting which was our first game of the season, a result which till this day still hurts us but that’s the game of football for you, they’ve had theirs and we’re here to make things right by having our revenge’.
