Abia Warriors Energetic and ball playing centre back,Adekunle Adeleke, was among the crop of invited Super Eagles players who stormed the national team camp in Lagos as the team prepares for a double header AFCON Qualifiers series against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
Following the inability of Spanish based defender, Kenneth Omeruo, to join the rest of the Super Eagles team in Lagos for the double header AFCON Qualifiers, Adekunle Adeleke who was previously on the standy list was drafted into the main list, taking the place of the Leganse defender who wasn’t released by his Spainish Segunda side.
Adeleke’s arrival which was announced by the official verified twitter account of the Super Eagles was greeted to many heartwarming comments as they celebrated the home based centre back who has been consistent in the coach Imama Amapakabo tutored side since the commencement of the cureent NPFL Campaign.
After playing a vital role in his club momentous win against, Katsina United, on matchday 17 in the Nigeria Professional Football League, the home based defender landed in the Open camp of the Super Eagles at Ekoh suites, Lagos, the defender was warmly welcomed by the team coach, Gernot Rohr and trained with the limited number of Eagles stars in camp yesterdays evening.
The brilliant center back early this morning trained with the total number of 22 Super Eagles stars who are in camp, the team is expected to have a full session at the Telsin Balogun stadium later this evening.
