Players of Abia Warriors have been advised to maintain high level of discipline both in their eating habits, training and all other acts that will not negate their physical condition even as they embark on a five days break that was given to them by the management of the club.
The break which was announced by the club management began yesterday, 5th April after the club’s important home win in one of the Match-day 19 fixtures played yesterday at the Okigwe township stadium against Plateau United. The players are to return on Saturday, 10th April while training will commence on Sunday, 11th April, 2021.
While dismissing the boys, Coach Imama Amapakabo emphasized the need for players to stay in shape given the fact that the second round will begin in earnest. “You know the second round of the league is expected to resume soonest and there is need for everyone to remain focused as we pursue our target for the season.
“I urge you all to maintain a high level of discipline and professionalism as we depart to reunite with Family and Friends, Imama concluded.
The Umuahia warlords are 10th on the log with 27 points from 19 matches and will next engage Plateau United in Jos on resumption for the second round.
