After much speculation on the transfer of highly rated Dakkada defender, Harrison Ibukun, the 6’3ft tall centre back suprisingly penned a deal with Abia Warriors of Umuahia as the club bolster its squad ahead of the new season.

The experienced defender who list Akwa United, Lobi Stars and Dakkada FC as his former clubs was speculated to be on the radar of many top Nigeria Professional league club but finally landed in Abia Warriors,  a move he is very much excited and proud to have taken.

As the League management company it’s awaits directives on the Ban lift on football and other contact games, caught with one of it’s new signings, Harrison Ibukun,  the player revealed some exciting moments and most especially how he geels about his move to Abia Warriors. Goodmorning Harrison

Harrison: Goodmorning Media Getting to sign for Abia Warriors, what’s the feeling like.

Harrison: Smiles, am excited over the move, it is the ambition and dream of every Professional player to play for an ambitious and a well structured side like Abia Warriors. Haven known and played against Abia Warriors in league matches, Who is your favourite Abia Warriors player, Past or Present.

Harrison: The club has produced many top players in the league and many currently plying their trade outside the country, my favourite Abia Warriors player of all time is, Fatai Abdullahi. He just a complete player in all ramifications. Growing up, have you always played as a defender or is there any position you wanted to play?

Harrison: I started my career as a defender and if handed an opportunity to try another position,  will opt to play as a striker. What’s your favourite ?

Harrison: 😁 It has been and will always be Garri and Melon soup. Working under Coach Imama Amapakabo what are you expectation?

Harrison: He is arguably one of the best coach as far as the Nigeria Professional league, his philosophy and interpretation of the game is second to none. It really excites me that I would be playing under his tutelage come next season.
