A busy schedule is nothing new for Abia Warriors as the team played a total 5games in the month under review, making out 8points from the five games and scoring a total of 13goals in all.

As part of the fight for trophy and a continental slot, Abia Warriors have a large squad with fierce competition for places. Mustapha Jibreel is a versatile and pacey winger spoke to us about his time since he joined the Umuahia based outfit:

“I have made about 18 appearances for the club in the league, I feel as if I have done well in all the games I have featured in whether as a sub or starting. The club plays a lot of games, and we are expected to play 38 league matches this season. We are playing for a big team and with the caliber of players and coach we have, expectations are there for us to win every game and be title contenders”.

Jibreel who joined The Warriors earlier this season from Mighty Jets also spoke about competing with two of the best wing players in the league in Paul Samson and Christian Samuel and gave an insight into the lessons he has learned from the experienced campaigners in the side:

“I am competing with quality players like Paul Samson and Christian James and every day I learn from them. They have been in the league and with the club for a while and and their wealth of experience makes them to always understand what is needed by the coaches from us as players. So they are always available for advice and it is not like we are just here for work then leave, we are brothers at the end of the day and they also want me to improve and achieve as they have done with the club. Every moment I spend with the guys is valuable to me”, concluded Mustapha
