“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”– Harriet Tubman.
Abia Warriors rookie, Henry Udezuka, at the weekend had his childhood dreams come through as he made his first ever professional football league appearance.
‘Hazard’ was among the Abia Warriors travelling squad that held Rivers United to a barren draw in one of the Matchday 22 fixture’s played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Porthacourt.
Since been promoted to the club’s first team, Henry’s development has been heartwarming as the young lad has never ceases to earn the accolades of Coach Imama Amapakabo.
On finishing his secondary school education, the Carl Academy and football college graduate made his first appearance in the shirts of the Umuahia warlords in a pre-season friendly match against Bayelsa United barely three months he teamed up with the rest of the squad on graduation.
On Sunday, 23rd May,2021 the highly rated youngster fulfilled his dream as he was part of the 20man list that travelled to the oil rich Rivers State on a date with Rivers United.
Speaking with Henry after the team Tuesday Practice session, the young lad relished the experience of travelling with the team for an official league match as well sitting on the bench adorning the team official match Jersey.
