Since joining Abia warriors at the beginning of the current Nigeria professional league campaign, Daniel Wotlai has elevated his game and has been an important member of Abia Warriors.
After making his debut in the league against FC Ifeanyiubah, Wotlai has been ever present in the Coach Imama Amapakabo tutored side as he has iced his outstanding performance so far with a worldclass goal against Kano Pillars.
The talented player who can function perfectly well as a centre back as well as a defensive midfielder has formed a formidable midfield force with the likes of Fatai Abdullahi, Anthony Okemmiri, Tekena Garando and Ahmed Yakub.
Wotlai’s efforts have not gone unnoticed and he has even earned himself accolade’s from the teeming Abia Warriors supporters.
“We are doing well, I am enjoying my football and we are getting the results. Everything is good because everyone realizes that we are on the right path, there is still a long way to go but if we continue in this way we will achieve our objectives”, said Wotlai
The Umuahia warlords has endured another hectic month schedule this season as they were able to garner a total of 8points from 4games, having a 9games unbeaten record, a record which was broken on matchday 18.
Wotlai is no stranger to the demands of being a top club and shared his thoughts on the schedule and said that “We have to take care of ourselves in the best way we can so that we can win most of our matches. If you look at the team we have the necessary squad to do so. Abia Warriors is a great team and winning is part of our DNA, so we must go out and make sure we make out maximum points in every game.
